Lucy is an architect who joined Studio Egret West in October 2012.

She has been involved in a number of residential schemes of varying scales since joining the studio. One of the first major schemes Lucy was involved in was a competition bid for Burgess Park Village - the regeneration of Southwark’s Aylesbury Estate. Lucy worked as part of the architectural team to develop a number of different typologies and mixed use buildings.

Having based her Diploma dissertation on the regeneration of the Heygate Estate in South East London, Lucy was particularly happy to get involved in the scheme as she has a keen interest in the future of social housing and the role that architecture and urban design can play in this.

Lucy worked as part of a small team on the successful planning application for two residential pavilions on the edge of the River Avon, as part of Crest Nicholson’s Bath Western Riverside development. Since achieving planning, SEW have been retained as design guardians on the scheme so Lucy continues to play an active role in the development of the tender and construction packages.

SEW’s scheme at Bromley South Central is a 130 bedroom hotel, currently due for completion in April 2016. Lucy was involved in the day to day running of the scheme, developing the individual tender packages, updating construction drawings, schedules and specifications as well as attending fortnightly design team meetings and site walk-arounds.

Most recently Lucy has been the project lead for the development of the Peel Centre site in Colindale. Working with Redrow, SEW’s work included over 400 homes in the detailed application along with a new landmark tower in the outline application. This was part of a wider hybrid application for 2900 homes developed by Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios. Again responsible for the day to day running of the scheme, she led a design team within the studio to produce the application.

Prior to joining SEW Lucy worked for Featherstone Young. Over a period of three years, she worked on a range of projects; from one off private residential homes, to public arts buildings and an advertising agency, many of which required a high level of bespoke design, and allowed her to gain valuable site experience.
