Allison Piehn

Allie is an Associate Director who has worked across many of Studio Egret West’s high profile projects, from conception through to completion.

At present, Allie is responsible for Erith Primary School, a new circular 3-storey school building in South London. Having worked on the project since its inception, she is now overseeing its ongoing construction. Concurrently, Allie is developing Sturt’s Yard, a mixed-use scheme alongside Regent’s Canal in Hackney that responds to the strong heritage of the local architecture, while also providing new urban spaces, workspace and homes. She is also the project associate and lead for High Road West, a transformative regeneration project in Tottenham.

At Caxton Works in Canning Town, Allie oversaw the design and delivery of 336 homes arranged above a ground level comprising light industrial and commercial space. This project marks a reversal to the concerning trend of depleting industrial land with the Greater London Area, and was subsequently awarded the New London Award for best built mixed use scheme 2018.

As project associate for The Boiler House, Allie was responsible for the design of this residential led scheme that includes commercial units at ground level with 54 apartments above. She was also a part of the team advising on the architectural design of the mixed use masterplan that The Boiler House sits within – The Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes.

Allie coordinated the detailed planning submission for Birch House, a 21 storey mixed used tower that forms a focal point for the wider neighbourhood. She held the same role for The Landing, where she secured outline-planning submission for this employment led scheme nearby Maidenhead station.

Allie holds a Masters of Architecture from the University College London, a Bachelors of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo and California State University of Florence, Italy.
