Alisan Dockerty

Alisan joined Studio Egret West in 2013. Over the past 4 years she has worked on a range of projects, from small scale housing developments to large scale mixed use schemes. For the past 2.5 years, Alisan has been working on the refurbishment of Balfron Tower in East London, the grade II* brutalist tower designed by Erno Goldfinger, through planning and tender stages. In addition, most recently, Alisan has been developing the interiors for a new build co-working space in Brighton.

Previously, Alisan worked at the Fairhurst Design Group in Manchester, where she worked on the design stages of two science parks and higher education buildings. Later, she joined Michaelis Boyd Associates where over a period of 2 years, she worked on a number of high-end residential refurbishment projects and the interior fit outs of 3 restaurants. During this time she gained experience covering the all design stages from inception to construction.

Alisan graduated from her Part II with a Distinction from the Bartlett School of Architecture. Her design thesis focused on the environmental decline of the Kissimmee River and its surrounding habitats in Florida. Sustainable architectural interventions of both master plan and detailed design scale were explored to aid river restoration whilst creating a new waterfront resort for tourists. This project allowed her to work at urban design scale, develop an understanding of sustainable technologies and how they can be integrated into the built environment.
