London Festival of Architecture 2018

We’re excited to announce that SEW are taking part in this year’s London Festival of Architecture! We have teamed up with fellow architects and urbanists We Made That to host an exhibition about the future of London living with industry. The new London Plan has recently opened the debate about how industry should be integrated with the city; this is an opportunity to create a new identity for very large, previously hidden areas of London dominated by low density, monocultural industrial use. The exhibition looks into the possibilities for this identity, focusing on some of our recent works – from speculative through to complete - which explore unusual hybrids and challenge the preconceived ideas of how industry and communities can relate.

The exhibition is being held at our Clerkenwell studio from the 4th to 30th June, and is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.

On the evening of Thursday 14th June, we are also hosting a discussion evening where, alongside leading industry figures, we will explore the topic of ‘Industrious Living’. Join us for food and drink at our Clerkenwell studio as we delve into this important conversation exploring the future of urban living and industry in London. Please RSVP for your free ticket at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/reworking-london-an-evening-about-living-with-industry-tickets-45684663057.

The London Festival of Architecture is the world’s largest annual architecture festival, and runs from 1-30 June. The full programme of events can be found at www.londonfestivalofarchitecture.org
