Eastwick and Sweetwater

East Wick is the name of a new neighbourhood located in the north western part of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, referred to as Planning Delivery Zone 5 (PDZ5). It will be delivered in several phases, and together with the planned new neighbourhood of Sweetwater further south, forms part of the wider Legacy Communities Scheme (LC S). Phase 1 sits between the River Lee Navigation and Hackney Wick to the west, Here East to the north, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to the east and Copper Box to the south.

The core principle for Phase 1 has been to provide variety in architecture, which has been achieved through the involvement of three architectural practices; Studio Egret West, A-Studio and Piercy & Company, along with the landscape strategy prepared by Fabrik.

London has a proud heritage of architecture, landscape and urban design. The development will become a new family-friendly neighbourhood that is centred around a series of public spaces linked by a diagonal pedestrian route that connects the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to Hackney Wick. Phase 1 will define the next generation of living and working in London, creating a place that combines the best of city living in one neighbourhood.
