A landmark for Kidbrooke

Kidbrooke, London
Berkeley Homes
Planning granted

Studio Egret West are delighted to have helped Berkeley Homes secure planning for a 21 storey tower as part of the wider Kidbrooke Village Masterplan.

The tower is the tallest building located in the heart of Kidbrooke Village Centre, marking the main entrance to the wider development and celebrating the apex of the emerging skyline.

The building is an aggregation of boxes clad in white brick, composed to relate to the form and heights of the adjacent buildings. This composition also consists of two large communal terraces; a play terrace on the 5th level, and a sky terrace on the 13th that captures long distance views towards Central London. Between the white cubes is a recessed area in bronze cladding that provides a visual reference to the silver birch trees in the new park to the west.
